Rain Haze II

Rain Haze II examines the material consequences of contemporary consumption. Transforming marine debris into a moving poetry of the sea, the work reflects on the fragile condition of Earth and on materials that continue to circulate long after they have been discarded.

At AaltoSiilo, the work is experienced through a Meta Quest 3 headset, shifting the visitor from the physical surroundings of the exhibition into an immersive environment. The technological interface becomes a means of approaching an ecological reality that may otherwise remain distant from everyday perception.
